One of the goofiest parts of this theory for me is that women have penis envy. That is just so typical of the man's thinking- that women dislike themselves so much that we would all really rather have what men do. What- better pay and more recognition in the workplace? Yeah we will take that but as far as wanting to give up our own sexuality, I definitely do not think this is true. And if my husband sought me out because I remind him of his mother, then I am just flabbergasted because we are nothing alike. Do you find this valuable?

Oh you think so? Just ask the hubby and I am sure he will tell you of the million ways you remind him of Mom. Just kidding. I do not find any value in the Oedipus theories either- I think that was just part of Freud trying to come up with shocking and controversial theories that would test the waters in the new world of psychiatry. Do you find this valuable?
